Just a little quiz...

Here is quiz for all my blog readers... Who can tell me how teaching your horse to back up by the hocks could help with bridling from your knees?

  1. You've got me! Could it have something to do with "following the feel"?

  2. I agree with "Naturally Gaited!" Following a feel. Keep up the great blog! Love reading about your journey! :)

  3. Good guesses!! Though not the answer I was looking for :) I am sure that it would help though because it is a porcupine game but the answer is...

It is about the relationship. If your horse will back up by the hocks (or anything else for that matter) it will improve your relationship so that when you ask him to bridle you will have an even better relationship. This can go for anything and I think that is is important to remember this when we are playing with our horses, everything means something...

    Great job :)

P.S. I just wanted to add that the question wasn't mine, a Parelli Instructor asked us this question at a clinic I attended.
