This evening it was really hot out still. Prince was sweating and he wasn't even doing a whole lot [mostly eating ;)] so I decided to give him a little bath. We went out onto the front yard and I got the hose out. At first he wasn't to sure what to think about it but pretty soon he became okay with it. He still didn't like the water around his face though. So we played with that and after a little bit he was able to tolerate it.
He did however like the water hitting his mouth and he started to try and drink it. It was funny. After he was all wet and had gotten some nice grass we went back to the corral. Ruffian was really interested in Prince and followed him around sniffing him. It was really funny to watch. Of course my little Haflinger can't be clean and about 5 minutes after I un haltered him he found a good place to roll and down he went. And of course he is just a little over weight so he couldn't roll over so he had roll on one side, get all dirty, get up and then go down and get the other side dirty again. What a guy!
At least he was cooler. I can't believe how hot it is! It is very humid too. Hopefully we shall get a good thunder storm soon and it shall break the humidity...
